About Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens
Founded on April 30, 2006, Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens was born from the dreams and devotion of Rabbi Dovid and Rebbetzin Chana Vigler. Without knowing a single soul in the area, they set out to build a meaningful Jewish community in Palm Beach Gardens, one that would meet the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of all Jews—regardless of background or level of observance.
As a proud representative of the global Chabad-Lubavitch movement, Palm Beach Gardens Chabad exists not only to serve what people consciously seek but also to help them discover the richness and depth of Judaism they may not yet realize they need. This is the heart of what Chabad is—a spiritual home, a center of education, and a beacon of Jewish life.
Through blending timeless wisdom with modern relevance, Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens has become a dynamic force in the local Jewish landscape. From Shabbat dinners to Jewish learning, family events to holiday celebrations, our community continues to grow—and to welcome all with open arms.

Meet Rabbi Dovid Vigler
Affectionately known for his unique personal background, Rabbi Dovid Vigler describes himself as an “African American rabbi,” blending his upbringing in Africa with the deep spiritual teachings of Chassidus and Kabbalah. He brings Jewish wisdom to life through down-to-earth, accessible teachings that resonate across generations.
In 2009, Rabbi Vigler launched Schmooze Radio, South Florida’s only Torah talk show—separating fact from fiction and bubbe maasehs from the bottom line. A graduate of Rabbinical College in Melbourne, Australia (Ordained in 2004), Rabbi Vigler’s dynamic leadership is rooted in the Rebbe’s directive to reach every Jew, wherever they are.

Meet Rebbetzin Chana Vigler
Rebbetzin Chana Vigler brings generations of Chabad leadership to her role as co-founder and director of Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens. She is the granddaughter of Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Chairman of the Worldwide Chabad Movement, and Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik, Chief Chabad Rabbi to Italy for five decades.
Fluent in six languages, known for her warm hospitality and delicious food, Chana has a unique ability to make every visitor feel instantly at home. Whether through classes, events, or personal connection, she plays an integral role in shaping the character and heart of our community.
FAQs
What is Chabad?
Chabad is not a denomination of Judaism. It is a relentless intellectual attack on faith, always challenging us to understand our relationship with Hashem, instead of basing it on faith alone. The Chabad philosophy is made up of thousands of volumes of philosophical teachings by the seven Rebbes of Chabad Lubavitch.
Is Chabad Orthodox?
Yes, Chabad is a branch of Orthodox Judaism—but we welcome and serve Jews of all backgrounds and affiliations. Whether you grew up Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, secular, or are just beginning your Jewish journey, Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens is here to support and uplift you. There is no judgment—only love, learning, and community.
Do I need to be a member to attend?
No membership is required to participate in our services, classes, or events. Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens is open to all—whether you’re visiting, exploring your Jewish identity, or looking for a vibrant Jewish community to call home.
We believe that every Jew belongs, and no one should be turned away due to financial or other barriers.
